We’re James and Billie Jean Hayes, the proud owners and operators of Hayes’s Florist. As fourth-generation members of the Whitesboro community, our roots here run deep. This is our hometown—the place where our family has lived, worked, worshiped, raised children, and built relationships for generations.

Although Hayes’s is the newest name in the story, this hometown flower shop has served Whitesboro for more than 55 years under three previous owners and various names. We are honored to carry that history forward, bringing more than 50 years of combined floral experience to the business while building upon the foundation laid by those who came before us.

When we say Hayes’s is family owned and operated, we truly mean it. We aren’t owners who simply oversee the business from a distance—we are in the shop every day, working side by side and remaining personally involved in nearly every part of what we do. From designing flowers and selecting merchandise to helping customers, making deliveries, and planning for the future, we are hands-on because we believe that personal care makes a difference.

We are also building something much bigger than ourselves. Our hope is for Hayes’s to become a lasting family legacy—one in which our children and grandchildren will soon work alongside us, learn the business, serve our community, and eventually help carry it into the future. We want to teach them the value of hard work, creativity, faithful service, and treating every person who walks through our doors with genuine kindness and care.

For us, Hayes’s Florist is more than a business—it is a calling and a privilege. We are deeply grateful for the trust our community places in us to help celebrate life’s happiest moments, offer comfort during difficult seasons, and bring beauty to ordinary days. Guided by our love for the Lord, we strive to serve each customer with joyful hearts, grateful spirits, and the same care we would offer our own family.

Whitesboro is not simply where we do business. It is our home, our heritage, and a community that means everything to us.
